Local to Colchester
Colchester is 5.5 miles from Ardleigh, about 15 minutes — close enough that most jobs here get booked and finished within the same week. It’s the town we know best, because it’s the one on our own doorstep.
The housing stock varies a lot across the patch. Lexden is mostly detached homes from the 1950s to 1990s; Highwoods was mostly built from the late 1970s on, with more electric heating than anywhere else in town; out at Great Horkesley most homes are off the gas grid on oil. We install and service gas and oil boilers, so all of it is covered.
Each district below has its own line on what its housing stock usually means for the job, so you know roughly what to expect before we’ve even looked.
Gavin and his team are very professional from start to finish. Excellent installation of our boiler which had to be relocated within our property which was quite challenging but this was no problem for them , I would highly recommend GH Heating services if you want a stress free competent experience from a great companyRead full review

I used GH Heating services to install a new oil boiler, and was very satisfied with the service. I dealt with Gavin who was professional, courteous, and quick to respond to any questions. The installation was conducted within the expected timeframe, and the site was left in a clean and tidy condition. The new boiler is working as expected, and a warranty has been arranged with Gavin for 5 years to handle any product issues that may occur.Read full review
Have used Gavin at GH Heating for a few years for our boiler. Earlier this week I had a problem with our water supply upstairs and rang GH on the off chance they could help. Gavin arrived first thing next morning and identified the problem, went for a new part and fitted and tested system before lunchtime that day. Excellent service as always and would not hesitate to recommend him and his company.Read full review
Gavin has been servicing my gas boiler since he had to replace it's 38 year old predecessor, after I called him out to attempt to get it working. I now have to protect the 10 year warranty with an annual service including a filter change. Gavin offers a very reliable service, with a reminder and invitation to book a time slot to maintain the service history. I am always happy with the service offered and Gavin is a very friendly engineer.Read full review
