Felixstowe is two things at once: a seaside town with a long seafront, and the largest container port in the country behind it.
The housing is a real mix — terraces, semis and detached homes in roughly equal measure, with a lot of flats, and a spread of ages from Victorian and Edwardian homes near the front to estates built from the 1950s to 1990s further back. Most is on mains gas, with a fair number of flats on electric heating.
Salt air takes a toll on anything fitted outside near the front. The commercial side is warehouse and industrial unit heating for the port estates.

Gavin has been servicing my gas boiler since he had to replace it's 38 year old predecessor, after I called him out to attempt to get it working. I now have to protect the 10 year warranty with an annual service including a filter change. Gavin offers a very reliable service, with a reminder and invitation to book a time slot to maintain the service history. Have used Gavin at GH Heating for a few years for our boiler. Earlier this week I had a problem with our water supply upstairs and rang GH on the off chance they could help. Excellent. Gavin provided a clear and competitive quote, arrived on time on the due date and delivered an excellent service.
