Who we are

G H Heating Services Ltd, company number 13389079, registered at 22 Harwich Rd, Ardleigh, Colchester, Essex, CO7 7LS. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect

We collect personal data when you contact us, request a quote, book a job, or sign up to a service plan. Depending on how you get in touch, this may include:

• Your name, phone number, email address and postal address.
• Details of the property and the work you’d like carried out, so we can quote or book accurately.
• Payment and bank details, where you set up a Direct Debit for a service plan — handled directly by our payment provider, GoCardless, not stored by us.
• Finance application details, where you apply for boiler finance — handled directly by our credit broking partner, TradeHelp, not stored by us.

We don’t collect any more than we need to do the job, and we don’t collect sensitive personal data (such as health information) unless you volunteer it as part of a job request.

How we use it

• To respond to enquiries and provide quotes.
• To schedule, carry out and follow up on bookings — through our job management system, ServiceM8.
• To administer service plan sign-ups and billing — through our payment provider, GoCardless.
• To process finance applications you choose to submit — through our credit broking partner, TradeHelp (see the finance disclaimer in our site footer for details of that relationship).
• To meet our legal obligations, for example keeping records for Gas Safe compliance or accounting purposes.

Who we share it with

We share personal data with the third parties needed to deliver the service you’ve asked for, and with no one else:

• ServiceM8 — our job scheduling and booking platform.
• GoCardless — our Direct Debit payment provider for service plan billing.
• TradeHelp — our credit broking partner for boiler finance applications, where you choose to apply.

We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep the site working correctly. Where we use analytics or advertising cookies (for example Google Analytics or Google Ads), we’ll ask for your consent first via a cookie banner, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and job data for as long as needed to deliver the work and meet our legal and regulatory obligations (including Gas Safe record-keeping requirements), and no longer than necessary after that.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Ask us to delete your data, where we’re not required to keep it for legal reasons.
• Object to how we’re using your data, or ask us to restrict it.
